Network Support Specialist

Job Description:

 

  • Provides Level-2 Support for network or connectivity related incidents by resolving Level 2 Incident Requests (IR) within SLA
  • Escalates issues as necessary
  • Liaises with the necessary 3rd Party support groups to expedite incident resolution (when necessary)
  • Monitors, tracks and communicates the progress of assigned incidents until its closure
  • Identifies possible problems by analyzing Incident logs or data from logging server
  • Raises possible problems to  Sr. Network Engineer with specialization on maintenance
  • Fulfills Service Requests (SR) related to network services within SLA
  • Conducts maintenance activities on time to ensure that all Configuration Items are properly maintained and will operate as expected
  • Liaises with vendors for outsourced maintenance activities to be performed on time and within specifications
  • Performs the installation, network acceptance testing, and cutover of network elements for expansion or roll-out type projects within time and scope
  • If needed, augments Engineering and Installation works for Department initiated projects led by Network Planning section by performing installation and cutover activities
  • Provides support to other ISG units and Globe support groups (NTG) in the resolution of system, network or security related problems (as requested)

Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate of Math, Science, or any IT-related course
  • 0-3 years (for Band A)/3-5 years (for Band B) work experience preferably with Telco or IT (Supporting or managing large scale IP Networks)
  • With training in PM, ITSM, InfoSec, Business Admin, & Quality
